WRIGHT MIDDLE SCHOOL
Support and serve our Local Partners! See the info below or email Macey Duncan at mduncan@newsongnashville.com.
New Song Nashville started this initiative to bless the teachers of Wright Middle School throughout the year as one of our Local Ministry Partners. Wright Middle School is a Community Achieves Metro Public School in the Woodbine area of Nashville that serves a very diverse group of students. 90% of the students enrolled are minority students with 20+ languages and countries represented.
Being a Community Achieves school allows them to receive much-needed help from Community Organizations to make sure the students and teachers have the resources they need and feel cared for.
Through this initiative, we can personally pray for teachers, share the gospel with them, and bless them with little gifts or cards throughout the school year. This has been such a blessing to the staff in the past and we hope to get more people covered and cared for this year!
Please sign up today to adopt a teacher for the 2025-2026 school year!
WRIGHT MIDDLE SCHOOL
Wright Middle School in Nashville is one of the most diverse schools in Middle Tennessee with more than 30 nations represented in the student population. Of these students, more than a quarter of the students have a significant level of food insecurity. If it were the same in New Song Christian Academy, it would mean that close to a hundred kids would need some help with just basic food. Almost 2/3 of the students have a level of challenge with English, and one in ten have some form of disability. After a year of students feeling like they have gotten lost in the shuffle of online classes, they are excited to be in person! The impact of that has been that over 50% of the students last year were classified as “chronically absent.” This year's mission is to have every student known and in partnering with that mission we also want to have every teacher known. wright.mnps.org
