Day 48 // June 2
“There are no unique postures and times and limitations that restrict our access to God. My relationship with God is intimate and personal. The Christian does not go to the temple to worship. The Christian takes the temple with him or her. Jesus lifts us beyond the building and pays the human body the highest compliment by making it His dwelling place, the place where He meets with us. Our entire life and being should cultivate a place of praise and worship before our God.”Ravi Zacharias
O God, You are my God; I shall seek You earnestly; my soul thirsts for You, my flesh yearns for You, in a dry and weary land where there is no water. Thus I have seen You in the sanctuary, to see Your power and Your glory.Because Your loving-kindness is better than life, My lips will praise You.So I will bless You as long as I live; I will lift up my hands in Your name.My soul is satisfied as with marrow and fatness, and my mouth offers praises with joyful lips. When I remember You on my bed, I meditate on You in the night watches, for You have been my help, and in the shadow of Your wings I sing for joy.My soul clings to You; Your right hand upholds me. Amen (Psalm 63:1-8)!
Let’s pray this together:
God, we come before Your throne in a heart attitude of humility and desperation for You, our God. We pray that every place we go today, we would give You all the praise and honor that is due Your holy name. We make these words the meditation of our heart today:”Praise Him for his mighty deeds; praise Him according to His excellent greatness” (Psa. 150:2)!”And my tongue shall speak of Your righteousness and of Your praise all the day long” (Psa. 35:28). May we truly remember our dependency should be solely on You that we would become a holy, hungry, desperate people for You, O God. For You alone satisfy.
