DAY 8 // April 23
“Repentance is more than just sorrow for the past; repentance is a change of mind and heart, a new life of denying self and serving the Savior as king in self’s place.” – J.I. Packer
Now after John was put in prison, Jesus came to Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, and saying, “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel” (Mark 1:14-15)
Let’s take a posture of humility and ask the Holy Spirit to really examine our hearts and lives to reveal attitudes, resistance or “blind spots” we have in not obeying Jesus’ command to “Repent”.
